What is UniFi?

UniFi is a line of networking hardware made by Ubiquiti Networks. It's used in hotels, hospitals, universities, office buildings, and increasingly in high-performance home networks. The product line includes routers (called UniFi Cloud Gateways), switches, wireless access points, security cameras, door access systems, and VoIP phones — all managed from a single app.

What sets UniFi apart from consumer gear like Eero, Orbi, or your ISP's router:

  • Wired backhaul — access points connect via ethernet, delivering full bandwidth everywhere
  • Handles 100+ simultaneous devices without performance degradation
  • Enterprise-grade security with intrusion detection and content filtering
  • Zero monthly fees — buy the hardware, own it forever
  • Hardware lasts 7-10+ years (vs. 2-3 for consumer gear)
  • Completely unified management: WiFi, cameras, door locks, VoIP from one app
  • Seamless fast roaming (802.11r) — no call drops or stream pauses as you move
  • VLAN support for network segmentation (separate your work laptop from your IoT devices)

Our Installation Process

We don't just drop hardware and leave. A proper UniFi installation requires thoughtful design and precise configuration:

    1

    Site Survey

We measure your home, assess construction materials, count devices, and map coverage requirements.

    2

    Network Design

We design the access point layout, cable routes, switch placement, and network topology before touching any hardware.

    3

    Cable Installation

We run Cat6 ethernet from your network closet or switch to each access point location, through walls and ceiling as needed.

    4

    Hardware Installation

Mount and power all access points, switches, and gateway. Connect ISP modem to UniFi gateway.

    5

    Software Configuration

Configure SSIDs, security settings, VLANs, QoS, parental controls, and any advanced features you need.

    6

    Testing & Verification

Walk the entire property testing signal strength, throughput, and roaming in every room.

    7

    Training Walkthrough

We show you how to use the UniFi app, add devices, monitor network health, and manage guest access.
